Job summary

CFS in Columbus is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to own ASC 842 lease accounting, lead self-insurance accounting initiatives, and partner with leaders across divisions on financial analysis.

You will prepare journal entries, perform month-end close, mentor junior staff, and support quarterly reporting and special projects while advancing internal controls and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
• Intermediate to advanced GAAP knowledge
• Strong Excel skills and financial reporting experience
• Experience with reconciliations and technical accounting responsibilities
• Experience with BlackLine and/or Alteryx is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue posting, analysis, and reconciliations
• Oversee lease accounting activities related to ASC 842
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting schedules
• Perform month-end review processes and branch-level P&L analysis
• Support quarterly financial reporting and special projects
• Mentor staff accountants and assist with process improvement initiatives
