Qualifications

• Experience handling isotopically enriched materials.
• Extensive knowledge of purification techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of inorganic chemistry laboratory work.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced research environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform recovery, purification, chemical conversion, and characterization of isotopic material from enrichment devices with near-zero losses.
• Execute intricate chemical conversion processes to maximize yield of pure product.
• Train and mentor junior staff on chemical processes and past trials.
• Support development of reports, presentations, and operator guidelines for technical services.
• Align actions with ORNL values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service.
