Job summary

CATHEXIS is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a Top Secret/SCI clearance to join our team in Tysons, VA. The Senior SRE will manage, monitor, and optimize clusters on Kubernetes, supporting our clients' digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep Kubernetes expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, and strong IaC practices, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalable performance across environments.

Qualifications

• Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance or higher is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with on-premise and off-premise cloud environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage Kubernetes clusters for stability, health, and scalability.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on Kubernetes; maintain Helm charts and resource allocation.
• Design and maintain Docker-based microservices architecture and reproducible deployments across environments.
• Work with AWS, Azure, or GCP; use Terraform/CloudFormation to configure infrastructure.
• Set up monitoring and incident response for Jenkins and Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate infrastructure processes using Terraform, Ansible, Linux, etc.
• Collaborate with development, services, and operations teams for seamless integration.
• Ensure security and compliance with RBAC, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
