Job summary

The Walt Disney Animation Studios is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable on‑premises and cloud deployments. Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, technical operations, systems engineering, software engineering, and/or related disciplines.
• Expertise in distributed systems, networking, hardware architecture, and capacity planning.
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate on large‑scale cross‑team projects with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana, including AI‑specific metrics such as model benchmarking, inference latency, and token consumption.
• Proficient with containerization and orchestration systems (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible)
• Experience implementing enterprise MLOps infrastructure (AWS Bedrock, JFrog Artifactory, LiteLLM)
• Experience with CI tools (Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Spinnaker)
• Experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with secrets management and data protection (HashiCorp Vault)
• Proficient in Python, Java, Scala, Go, Rust, or Ruby

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support on‑premises and cloud‑native deployments with infrastructure‑as‑code and observability.
• Securely deploy, operate, and support AI‑powered tools and ML infrastructure in production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate workflows into platform solutions.
• Contribute to SRE tech stack including CI/CD platforms, Git, cloud hosting, containers, and web tech (Apache, NGINX).
• Develop telemetry, alerting, and runbooks to maximize visibility and minimize MTTR.
• Evaluate emerging tech and codify standards and reusable patterns.
• Build internal tooling to diagnose and resolve platform, service, and application issues.
