Job summary

ReaderLink in Oak Brook, IL is seeking an experienced SQL Server Developer to design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server objects, ETL pipelines, and data quality processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, use Azure DevOps for version control, and contribute to enterprise data warehouse initiatives, Databricks, and cloud platforms. Strong T-SQL skills and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years MS SQL Server development experience.
• Strong T-SQL, including complex queries, joins, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data ingestion, validation, and data quality.
• Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data integrations.
• Able to analyze and resolve SQL/ETL and production issues independently.
• Excellent communication and ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, and advanced T‑SQL.
• Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes for data integration and transformation.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, incremental load, reconciliation, and data quality processes.
• Analyze and resolve data, ETL, and database issues end-to-end.
• Maintain database objects and scripts using Azure DevOps; follow team standards.
• Document technical procedures and runbooks; own assigned deliverables and timelines.
• Support enterprise data warehouse development, dimensional modeling, and reporting solutions.
• Assist with query tuning, performance optimization, and Databricks data engineering initiatives.
• Provide backup resource for database administration and cross-team collaboration.
• Work with cross-functional teams; support release deployments and production implementations.
