Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a Sr Level SQL Developer and DBA. The role requires 7+ years of SQL development and database administration, with strong T-SQL and experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and BI tools.

The position is based near Nicholasville, KY, and requires on-site work with 3‑4 hour travel considerations. Candidate should have hands-on experience with SQL Server enterprise features, AGs, SSIS, SSAS, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' combined experience in SQL development and database administration, or equivalent hybrid role.
• 7+ years' experience coding in T-SQL including queries, stored procedures and functions.

Responsibilities

• Optimize database performance by improving queries, defragging indexes, shrinking databases, and offloading legacy data at scale.
• Manage the SQL Enterprise environment, nodes, clusters, servers, availability groups and databases with a goal of high performance, efficiency, and redundancy.
• Translate business needs into long-term data architecture solutions.
• Evaluate reusability of current data for separate analysis.
• Provide analysis, design and development of SQL code. Debugs and resolves data errors.
• Participate in team meetings for alignment, strategy, architecture, and direction purposes.
• Utilization of ai tools like Claude for optimization and efficiency.
• Other Duties as assigned.
