Job summary

PTR Global in Charlotte, NC is seeking a W2 Database Engineer/SQL Server DBA for a long-term contract. You will work on moderately complex database initiatives, focusing on analytics, operational reporting, and MSSQL stack.

The role requires 4+ years of database engineering, hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Always On, and SSIS (including SSISDB). This hybrid, on-site role requires onsite 3 days per week and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Database Engineering experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Always On, and SSIS (including SSISDB).

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Database Engineering.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Database Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of issues and consult with others to meet deliverables while adhering to policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide analysis and design support for data-related projects and enhancements across all SDLC environments, including problem tickets, work requests, root cause analysis, and issue resolution paths.
• Partner closely with technology teams, resources, and business partners to address compliance, performance, security, stability, scalability, and speed to market.
• Manage complex Always On configurations with SQL Server 2019 - 2022.
• Communicate ongoing support and deployment of data architecture and policy principles to improve enterprise data usage.
• Recommend, mentor, train, and monitor resource allocations, project skills alignment, and resource forecasting.
• Develop and maintain documentation on implementation steps, technical procedures, and knowledge base materials.
