Job summary

KTek Resourcing LLC is seeking an experienced SQL Database Engineer in Los Angeles to manage SQL Server databases, focusing on clustering, Always On, replication, and SSIS development. You will troubleshoot, tune performance, and support critical database projects while coordinating with developers and IT staff.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SQL database administration, strong tuning skills, and familiarity with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS). MS SQL tools expertise required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SQL database administration, with at least 1–2 years in an L3/senior role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in SQL Server preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and monitor SQL Server databases.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of databases.
• Monitor and optimize database performance using metrics and logs.
• Ensure availability, scalability, and security via backups and recovery processes.
• Escalate and troubleshoot complex database incidents with L1/L2 teams.
