Job summary

Mainspring Energy is scaling production of a first-of-its-kind linear generator. As a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer you will own the supplier quality gate from NPI through steady-state production, acting as the SME on special processes and partnering with Design Engineering, Materials & Process, and Supply Chain to build quality into the supply chain from the start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience with independent ownership of supplier qualification programs.
• Proven PPAP approvals, deviation dispositions, and SCAR closure on complex components.
• Experience coaching junior engineers and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with assigned suppliers and represent quality expectations across regions including APAC.
• Own the supplier quality gate from NPI through steady-state production; develop control plans, PPAP, Cp/Cpk analyses.
• Drive and close SCARs using structured 8D methodologies with timely corrective actions.
• Review material and process deviation requests with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct supplier process audits and site visits to verify compliance with control plans and standards.
• Own incoming inspection disposition and NCR management to keep production moving.
• Maintain SPC Monitoring and plan updates; escalate negative trends early.
• Serve as SME on special processes and guide qualification and audit approaches.
