Job summary

Optiv + ClearShark is seeking a Sr. Splunk Engineer to implement, manage, and optimize the Splunk platform to automate security operations. This role requires hands-on development of custom playbooks, integration with security tools, and boosting the organization’s security posture.

Candidates must have a TS/SCI with CI polygraph, Security+ or CISSP, 7–10 years of related work experience, and hands-on experience in classified environments, with strong Linux/scripting skills and SOC experience.

• Security Certification (Security+, CISSP, etc) required
• 7-10 years of related work experience
• Experience operating in classified environments
• Strong Linux and scripting proficiency
• Experience with SOC operations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Open to government workers/experience

Responsibilities

• Create custom Splunk reports, dashboards, and content per customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot Splunk instances and optimize performance.
• Follow SOPs and execute tasks with minimal oversight.
• Analyze client needs and translate to Splunk configurations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Mentor Associate and Level I/II engineers on tasks.
