Job summary

MANTECH is seeking a dedicated Senior Splunk Cyber Security Engineer to support our Sponsors' system accreditation efforts in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on managing a large Splunk environment, ensuring data integrity and security compliance.

Requires 5+ years in cyber security, 3+ years with Splunk ES, DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III, TS/SCI with Poly, and scripting skills. We offer growth, teamwork and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cyber security with focus on Splunk ES.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification.
• Unix/Linux/Windows familiarity for security integration.
• Experience with accreditation processes and ICD 503 standards.
• Background in security documentation, CM, and patching.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Java; ITSI/Cribl preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a large Splunk environment.
• Install and manage Splunk Add-ons and API integrations.
• Create deployment documentation outlining specs and architecture.
• Design and deploy forwarders with centralized config management.
• Tune CIM and manage Knowledge Object Management for data accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet operational requirements.
• Propose and implement policy enhancements to strengthen cyber defense.
