Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a System Administrator III to provide Splunk support for AFNINC III. The role is based on Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex and is full-time.

The candidate will design, deploy, and manage Splunk infrastructure, administer apps, and implement secure data handling with DISA STIG compliant controls. The position requires 5+ years of systems administration experience, a Security+ certification, and a valid US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Must be Security+ certified and hold one of the listed Splunk certifications.
• Experience with Splunk for installations, configurations, monitoring, upgrades, and dashboards in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Splunk clustered infrastructure on RHEL (indexers, search heads, forwarders, deployment servers).
• Administer Splunk Apps, develop or extend apps for specialized functionality.
• Develop data ingestion, parsing, and indexing strategies to ensure Splunk data availability and performance.
• Create and maintain docs on architecture, configurations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
