Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Senior Specimen Collector in Boise, ID. This full-time role involves traveling to new accounts 90% of the time, onboarding new collectors, and serving as a subject matter expert for our testing processes.

Responsibilities include collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, processing and shipping, and coordinating between clinics and the lab. Strong customer service and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field.
• 2+ years of customer service experience acceptable in lieu of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance policies.
• Knowledge of medications/diagnostic codes is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Physical: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving to/from multiple facilities may be required and overnight coverage may be needed.

Full Time Male Senior Specimen Collector

Location: Boise, ID

Schedule: [Full/Part-Time | Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use of prescription medications and illicit drugs supporting improved clinical decision-making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders.

The Senior Specimen Collector is a key role at Millennium Health. As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory. This position is a cross functional subject matter expert traveling 90% of the time to start new accounts and train new Specimen Collectors in the practice.

As a Senior Specimen Collector:

• Travel to new accounts to ensure proper set up and coverage
• Support onboarding of new Specimen Collectors in the practice
• Subject matter expert with Millennium’s systems and processes
• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic, laboratory, LSA Leadership
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required and occasional overnight coverage.

Ideal Candidate:

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus
• Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
• Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to
• High School diploma or equivalent required

This position requires regular travel. In accordance with federal travel regulations, all employees must possess a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative form of identification to comply with government travel guidelines. Proof of compliant identification will be required prior to the start of employment.
