University of Miami Health System (UHealth) is seeking a Specialty Pharmacist 2 (H) to deliver comprehensive clinical and operational services for patients on specialty medications. The role includes medication reviews, patient education, therapy monitoring, and coordination with prescribers and care teams to ensure safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical care.

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Pharmacist license required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services for specialty medications.
• Review and verify specialty prescriptions for appropriateness, dosing, allergies, interactions, and lab parameters.
• Educate patients on administration, adherence, adverse effects, storage, and monitoring.
• Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments and therapy monitoring.
• Document interventions and communicate with prescribers and the care team.
• Coordinate with access, prior authorization, and payer teams to facilitate access to medications.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical assessments and outcomes.
• Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to healthcare professionals.
• Precept and support residents, students, and staff as appropriate.
• Safeguard University assets and adhere to policies.
