Job summary

QPS, LLC in Newark, Delaware is seeking a Real-Time Laboratory Technician to support the Laboratory & Compliance Management (LCM) unit. The role involves monitoring environmental and equipment alarms, keeping laboratory devices clean and functional, and coordinating with support teams for maintenance and qualification needs.

This 100% on-site position requires a combination of relevant education and experience in a regulated laboratory environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables.
  • Review lab logbooks and report issues to Lab Floor Supervisor.

The Senior Specialist, Facilities Technician is part of the Laboratory & Compliance Management (LCM) support unit within the Department of Translational Medicine (TLM) and is responsible for all daily activities that support the smooth operation and regulatory compliance of the TLM office and laboratories. Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand scientific literature provided by our clients and vendors are critical to being successful in this role.

The Job

  • Real-Time Laboratory Technician
    • Monitor, and address environmental and equipment alarms
    • Help keep the laboratories and all the devices clean, operational and presentable, including regular upkeep of laboratory equipment, such as but not limited to freezers, BSC hoods, water baths and balances.
    • Interact with support teams to address maintenance and qualification needs or issues
    • Provide input to management on future needs for lab functions
    • Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables
    • May assist in review of lab logbooks to ensure entries are accurate and report any issues to Lab Floor Supervisor for corrections

Monitor the LCM docket for incoming request for facility needs, in real time

After discussion with Supervisor and determining prioritization, work towards addressing request from the LCM docket

Promptly address additional facility tasks given by supervisor to maintain the office and laboratory expansion and maintenance needs

Work Location

  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based

Requirements

Education / Experience

  • Combination of relevant education & experience that provides sufficient knowledge & skills to ensure incumbent’s success in this role, such as:
    • University/College Degree in relevant Scientific discipline, and/or
    • Demonstrated experience in CRO, Clinical Research, or other relevant field.
  • Experience in a Regulated industry laboratory preferred
