Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Specialist in Data Science & Analytics to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, and datasets. You will ingest data from diverse sources, validate quality, and deliver visualization and analytics solutions for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Data Science/Analytics, or equivalent role.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, BI, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL.
  • Experience with data quality, governance, warehousing, modeling, and cloud data architectures.
  • Experience analyzing complex datasets and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Ability to own technical projects and deliver solutions with limited guidance.

Senior Specialist, Data Science & Analytics (Onsite)

What You Will Do:

Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines, data models, and curated datasets supporting analytics, reporting and decision‑making.

Integrate, transform, standardize, and validate data from diverse and non‑standard sources, including enterprise applications, spreadsheets, databases, text files, APIs, and operational data sources.

Develop and maintain data visualization, statistical analysis, reporting, and analytical solutions that improve understanding of enterprise and infrastructure data.

Establish and improve data quality, validation, monitoring, governance, documentation, and data management practices to ensure trusted and reusable data.

Work directly with customers and stakeholders to understand business and operational needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate requirements into practical data and analytical solutions.

Independently lead projects using appropriate software development and agile practices, from requirements and solution design through development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain technical and business documentation, including requirements, data definitions, process flows, use cases, user stories, technical designs, and operational procedures.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across IT and operations while providing technical guidance, peer review, and mentoring to other members of the PSD Data team.

Apply information security, information assurance, governance, privacy, and compliance requirements to all data and analytics activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

Advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Data Science/Analytics, or equivalent Technology role within a Manufacturing, Corporate/Business Operations, or Aerospace Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 12+ years of relevant industry experience

5+ years of experience working in data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or a related technical discipline.

Experience working with Power BI and SQL.

Experience with data quality, data governance, data warehousing, data modeling, and modern cloud data architectures.

Experience analyzing complex datasets, developing meaningful metrics and visualizations, and translating findings into actionable insights and recommendations.

Experience independently owning technical projects and delivering solutions with limited day‑to‑day direction, including the ability to work through ambiguous or complex problems.

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, Power Automate, Power Apps, ServiceNow/ITSM data, Git/CI/CD, or machine learning platforms.

Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred.

Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).

Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, and MS Office Suite.

Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

Strong problem‑solving, communication, technical documentation, stakeholder‑management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
