Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for processing benefit verification or authorization responsibilities of all new referrals within the expected speed and quality. Assist with everyday individual peer training alongside lead specialist. Assist Supervisor when lead is out with escalating issues or CMC needs.

  • Processes benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals with speed and accuracy.
  • Assist AVA Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
  • The Senior Specialist will assist lead with team quality audits.
  • May assist with new hire onboarding and interview process.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in related field with 1 year being in medical/healthcare role involving benefit and/or authorization with multiple payor types.

  • Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
  • Ability to work in a fast past environment.
  • High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
  • Ability to navigate and train to multiple payor portals.
  • Ability to engage peers in a positive manner.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $19.16-$31.92
