Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Whitesboro, NY is seeking a skilled Special Process - Non-Conventional Machining (NCM) Engineer to support laser cutting, EDM, and other non-traditional methods. You will develop, qualify, and maintain processes that meet NADCAP, AS9100 and customer specifications while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include auditing processes, optimizing CP and NCM sheets, programming lasers and EDMs, and collaborating with Quality to ensure robust, compliant manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 3+ years in NCM (Laser, EDM, ECM, chemical processing).
• 2+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering.
• U.S. work authorization; ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Experience with NADCAP and process documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review testing including chemical processing controls and ICP analyses.
• Improve CP and NCM op sheets, schedules, software control, data cards, and work instructions.
• Conduct annual Nadcap audits for Chemical Processing and Non-Conventional Machining.
• Perform weekly in-person walk-throughs of CP and NCM areas.
• Develop and optimize NCM processes and set laser/EDM parameters.
• Define machining process flows, tooling, fixtures, and quality checkpoints.
• Train operators and stay current with industry trends.
