Job summary

Camden National Bank, a long-standing community bank, is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to manage a portfolio of classified assets. Under guidance of the Director of Special Assets, you will collect past-due payments, resolve problem loans, and negotiate workout terms to minimize loss while coordinating legal actions with attorneys.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, 5+ years in banking collections or workout, and strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in banking, collections, or workout activities.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy and related laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Review and authorize accounts for legal actions with attorneys.
• Support Workout Officers in managing workout loans and strategies.
• Develop and implement legal strategies with attorneys.
• Review credit files for completeness and identify deficiencies.
• Meet borrowers to address issues and establish relationships.
• Prepare reports and present to committees as required.
