Job summary

K2 Space in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Development Test Technician to validate next-generation spacecraft hardware in the Mega Structures Lab, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, and Test Engineers to establish test procedures and campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be highly autonomous, mechanically inclined, and able to manage complex test setups while ensuring safety and quality across development programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace development or environmental/structural testing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Proven track record operating high-energy test systems and promoting safety.

Responsibilities

• Build and modify complex development test stands, fixtures, and hardware.
• Prepare test articles for development and qualification testing.
• Execute static load, structural verification, leak checks, and subsystem testing.
• Assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems for testing.
• Install instrumentation and data acquisition hardware; verify sensors.
