Job summary

Tech7 is seeking a Spacecraft Subsystem SME to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This full-time professional role requires extensive experience with spacecraft buses and subsystems and offers the opportunity to lead design, integration, and testing activities in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes on-site work at LA AFB and close interaction with government customers and contractors. A Secret clearance or higher is required, with travel limited.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• BS in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, physics, software or computer science).
• 15 years’ experience with spacecraft bus or subsystems, or 12 years with a Master’s degree.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site at Los Angeles Air Force Base; remote work unavailable.
• DOD or IC space experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and assessment for the ESS Program Office in spacecraft bus, mechanical, electrical, or test areas.
• Lead trades for unit and subsystem designs, integration, and testing into the spacecraft bus, payload, and vehicle.
• Ensure the technical design and interfaces within the space vehicle and ground/terminal segments.
• Support test programs including space qualification testing and documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with government customer organizations, contractors, and teammates.
