Job summary

Acara Solutions in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior RF Engineer for our spacecraft flight program. This full-time, in-office role leads system-level design, EMI/EMC analysis, and the integration of RF subsystems, with emphasis on link budgets and magnetics compliance.

You will design PCBs, route interfaces, and guide testing across the spacecraft, ensuring regulatory standards are met, and coordinating with teams to deliver mission-ready hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years aerospace hardware experience, incl. link budgets & spacecraft subsystems.
• Willing to obtain DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF system architecture design, link budget analyses, and integration of spacecraft communications subsystem.
• Design and route PCBs interfacing with spacecraft subsystems.
• Perform comprehensive EMI/EMC analysis and testing across the spacecraft.
• Lead magnetic cleanliness efforts, including modeling and stray field budgeting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (FCC/NTIA) and document design/test configurations.
