Job summary

Blue Origin envisions millions of people living in space and is expanding the TeraWave constellation. This role designs wire harnesses for bus, payload, and integration across subsystems, develops BIDs and WIDs, and creates harness drawings and 3D routing in Creo/Windchill.

The candidate will read schematics, coordinate with multiple subsystems, and ensure manufacturability and test readiness. A Bachelor’s in Electrical/Aerospace/Mechanical engineering and 5+ years in spacecraft harness design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in spacecraft harness design, cable routing or electrical integration.
• Experience producing harness drawings, installation drawings and connector docs.
• Hands-on with BID/WID development and interface coordination across subsystems.
• Proficient with electrical harness CAD tools and harness fabrication standards.
• Understanding EMI/EMC, shielding and grounding in harness design.
• Familiarity with space connector systems (Micro-D, Nano-D, MIL-DTL-38999, etc.).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, block diagrams and ICDs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release spacecraft wire harness assemblies for bus, payload, and integration.
• Develop BIDs and WIDs in coordination with subsystem owners; produce harness drawings.
• Create and maintain 3D harness routing models in Creo/Windchill with checks.
• Coordinate with manufacturing on harness fabrication and build instructions.
• Support harness verification, testing, and integration during vehicle assembly.
