Job summary

Gravitics is seeking rockstar manufacturing engineers to turn design concepts into great hardware for space infrastructure. You will work across metallic structures, avionics harnessing, propulsion and fluid systems to enable reliable, cost-effective production.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, experience from design to hardware manifestation, and a first principles approach to manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with complex projects from design to hardware manifestation.
• Ability to apply a first principles approach to manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD packages and engineering drawings (GD&T).
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing methods for mechanical/electrical/fluids hardware.

Responsibilities

• Author, select, and refine manufacturing methodologies, techniques, and flows to reduce cost and complexity, and increase reliability.
• Generate and execute plans to validate new manufacturing processes capabilities.
• Drive designs for manufacturability, safety, cost, and operability.
• Oversee the investigation and resolution of quality issues and their root causes.
• Implement processes and controls to ensure mission success.
• Identify and execute on equipment, machine, tooling, and factory floor layout upgrades to meet production demands.
• Review piece part and assembly drawings and conduct DFM analyses.
• Provide guidance to the manufacturing team in a coaching capacity.
