Job summary

Astrion seeks an experienced Senior Space Systems Engineer to join the Space Support to Theater Nexus Team in El Segundo, CA. You will advance, integrate, and deliver system-of-systems space capabilities in support of national objectives.

Responsibilities include mission engineering, gap analysis, and cross-domain collaboration with government, SETA, FFRDC, and contractor personnel to drive enterprise solutions for SATCOM, PNT, and space sensing technology.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Earth Science, Mathematics, Operations Analysis, or related).
• 8+ years in design, development, and deployment of space systems in USSF/DoD space missions.
• Strong systems engineering, mission analysis, and SoS integration foundation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and integration of space capabilities across current and future systems.
• Perform mission engineering analysis and evaluate Design Reference Missions for risks and gaps.
• Develop enterprise requirements and JCIDS documentation for high-priority space programs.
• Prepare briefings, white papers, and strategic roadmaps for senior leadership.
