Astro Digital is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design of satellite buses from proposals through integration prior to launch.

The candidate should be experienced in space systems, CAD part creation, bus structure layout, coordination with thermal engineers, and producing manufacturing, inspection, and assembly drawings with GD&T. Bonus: mechanism design and test experience, and mentoring junior engineers.

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 7–15 years in aerospace mechanical design.
• Proficiency using CAD (SolidWorks/Onshape).
• Proficiency in creating part and assembly drawings.

Mansioni

• Lead mechanical design of satellite buses (50 kg–500 kg).
• Create and release manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
• Collaborate with structural and thermal engineers.
• Assist junior engineers in layout and drawing tasks.
