Job summary

nLogic seeks a Senior Crypto Security Engineer in El Segundo, CA to provide senior technical leadership for space and ground cryptographic systems. You will guide design trades, manage interfaces, oversee testing, and mentor engineers to deliver secure, compliant mission solutions.

Required are a TS/SCI clearance, 15+ years in systems engineering with crypto, and 10+ years in crypto and NSA/KMI domains. On-site work with an anticipated salary range of $163,000 to $238,000.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required with current status.
• BS degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in systems engineering including crypto, cybersecurity, requirements, verification, integration, and test.
• 10+ years crypto, NSA certification processes, and Key Management experience.
• 5+ years in DoD/IC space and ground systems.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to author technical deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of space and ground cryptographic units, aligned with mission objectives.
• Perform crypto trade studies; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Design, interface definition, development, and delivery of encryption units with hardware/firmware.
• Manage crypto lifecycle, scope, priorities, and program dependencies.
• Oversee testing activities including SVT, TRRs, and CDRL reviews, ensuring traceability.
• Support PKMA including secure key management documentation and alignment.
• Represent crypto engineering in reviews and program forums; mentor engineers.
