Vast is seeking a Senior Electronics & Avionics Engineer in Long Beach, California. This full-time role focuses on developing avionics for a new satellite bus launching in Q4 2027. The candidate will oversee in-house developments from concept through flight hardware delivery, ensuring timely critical path execution.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and has over 8 years of relevant experience in electronics and avionics design, particularly within aerospace. The position offers a competitive salary range of $137,760 to $195,552 and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electronics or avionics design experience in aerospace or defense.
• 3+ years owning hardware development programs end-to-end.
• Strong PCBA design skills for IPC Class 3 space applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive make, buy, or reuse decisions for all avionics boxes.
• Manage PCBA critical path from schematic to board bring-up.
• Design for production to scale from prototype to hundreds yearly.
