Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a highly motivated SOX Auditor to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on executing PACCAR’s SOX program to ensure internal control effectiveness over financial reporting. Strong communication and analytical skills, plus readiness to travel, are essential for success.

The candidate will engage with senior management, divisions and external auditors while overseeing SOX 404 compliance and remediation activities. A BA/BS in Accounting and CPA are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
• Big four public accounting experience and/or internal audit experience a plus.
• Experience with internal controls, SOX 404 compliance and audit management system.
• Experience working with Tableau, a plus.
• Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills required.
• Excellent communication skills with strong analytical abilities.
• This role requires frequent coordination with staff to vice president levels.
• Working knowledge of SEC rules and internal accounting control procedures.
• Deadline-driven with initiative; travel flexibility needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support SOX procedures to ensure compliance across locations and divisions.
• Oversee SOX methodology, reporting, and compliance efforts including SOX 404.
• Participate in scoping and scheduling SOX 404 activities yearly.
• Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and address comments.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and perform guest auditor activities.
• Execute remediation testing for findings and support audit management system.
• Champion Accounting and Financial Reporting processes within the business.
• Build relationships with Finance, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders.
• Assist on special projects that improve business processes.
