Compass Group USA's Flik Hospitality Group is seeking a Senior Sous Chef for LEIODOS Cafe in Reston, VA. You will support the Culinary Department operations, supervise hourly staff, and assist with ordering while collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu development.

This role requires an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts or equivalent, progressive kitchen leadership, and strong knowledge of high-volume production, food safety, and cost controls. Great benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on degree or training
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
• Must be experienced with computers; including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, Email and Internet
• Willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and control expenditures for the account
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
• Produces and execute catering events
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
