Job summary

Saint Joseph Berea is seeking a Sonographer to operate advanced sonographic equipment and capture detailed images for diagnosis and prenatal care. You will interact with patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort while acquiring high-quality images; you will present preliminary findings to Physicians and support ongoing patient care with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, upon hire
• Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, upon hire
• Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Equivalent clinical experience, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire
• Registered Cardiac Elect, upon hire
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Abdomen, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire
• Registered Vascular Specialist, upon hire
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire
• Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served
• Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols
• Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals
• Supports and reports any identified compliance matters
• Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction
• Maintains professional development and education for technical competency
