Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with engineering and business teams, becoming the technical expert for customers and delivering innovative solutions that impact millions of users.

You will lead pre-sales activities, design technical solutions, and present to diverse audiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience in pre-sales, consulting, or related roles.
• US citizenship due to client base.
• Experience in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security or cloud computing solutions.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML and SSL protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
• Manage technical proposals ensuring all information and recommendations address customer requirements are accurate.
• Track account activity for business analysis and design technical solutions.
• Lead sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate
• Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers needs.
• Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Have US citizenship, due to the nature of our client base
• Have experience working in a customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or pose sales role
• Have background and experience in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions
• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL protocols and Cloud Computing
• Be a customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Demonstrate experience with presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
• Be a team player, able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast changing environment

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
