Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our ISV partner business in ERP and HCM, focusing on secure, scalable architectures and the AWS platform.

You will own technical engagements from design to delivery, respond to RFPs, mentor junior SAs, share best practices, and travel up to 30% to customer sites; a deep knowledge of AWS services and security is essential.

This role requires US citizenship.

Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing ISV Partner business as part of the World-Wide Public-Sector practice. You will be focused on ISV partners in the Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Human capital management (HCM) space. As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and AWS CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures, responding to RFPs, developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and take an exceptional approach with our customers while partnering with a world class sales and business development team. You will help capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community. • Mentor junior SAs and contribute to organizational scaling through reusable artifacts and best practices
• Identify and drive product feature requests (PFRs) based on customer feedback to influence AWS service roadmap

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• 3+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), GenAI (Generative AI), Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
• Experience in GenAI deployments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
• Databricks and Data experience preferred
