Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect Academic to translate cutting-edge NVIDIA products from research into fully operational AI Factories for commercial and government groups worldwide.

You will deploy, manage, and validate AI/HPC infrastructure on Linux, serve as domain authority with design teams and customers, and produce documentation and knowledge transfers for rollout. Expect travel to U.S. customer sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of in-depth hardware/software deployment and support experience.
• Linux system administration, DevOps, packaging, scheduling, and networking.
• Experience with LAN/InfiniBand validation and tools (ibdiag, UFM).
• Benchmarking with HPL, NCCL tests, MLPerf.
• Scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible) and automation tooling (Ansible, Puppet).
• Familiarity with schedulers like SLURM/LSF/UGE; Kubernetes experience.
• Strong communication and travel willingness to U.S. customer sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE or equivalent.

NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect Academic that excels in bringing the latest NVIDIA products from research labs to fully operational AI Factories for commercial and government groups around the world. Be part of the team using NVIDIA products to redefine deep learning and data analytics and to power data centers.

Join the team building many of the largest and fastest AI/HPC systems in the world! NVIDIA is looking for someone with the ability to work on a dynamic, customer‑focused team that requires excellent interpersonal skills. This role will interact with customers, partners and internal teams to analyze, define, and implement large‑scale AI/HPC projects. These efforts include a combination of networking, system design, automation and validation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Primary responsibilities will include deploying, managing, and validating AI/HPC infrastructure in Linux‑based environments for first‑of‑kind NVIDIA hardware.
• Be the domain authority with NVIDIA design engineering teams and external customers during planning calls through implementation.
• Create and handover related documentation and perform knowledge transfers required to support customers as they roll out some of the most sophisticated systems in the world.
• Provide feedback to internal teams such as opening bugs, documenting workarounds, and suggesting improvements.

What We Need To See

• 6+ years providing in‑depth support and deployment services; solving problems for hardware and software products.
• Knowledge and experience with Linux system administration/dev ops, process management, package management, task scheduling, kernel management, boot procedures, troubleshooting, performance reporting/optimization/logging, and network‑routing/advanced networking (tuning and monitoring).
• Experience in configuring, testing, validating, and issue resolution of LAN and InfiniBand networking, including use of validation tools for InfiniBand health and performance (ibdiag, etc.) and UFM (Unified Fabric Manager).
• Experience with benchmarking tools such as HPL, NCCL tests, MLPERF.
• Scripting proficiency (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.) and Automation tooling background (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
• Familiarity with schedulers such as SLURM, LSF, UGE, etc.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deliver resolutions for customer issues as they arise. Strong self‑organizational skills and ability to prioritize/multi‑task easily with limited supervision.
• A willingness to travel to customer sites within the United States.
• Minimum of a four‑year degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Ways To Stand Out From Crowd

• Cluster management technologies knowledge (bonus credit for BCM (Base Command Manager)).
• Experience with GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) focused hardware/software.
• Experience with MPI (Message Passing Interface).
• Storage technologies such as Lustre or GPFS.
• Familiarity with Dell and Supermicro GPU platforms.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 148,000 USD – 235,750 USD.
