You will work in a hybrid Washington, DC area, travel up to 30%, and collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to deliver mission value and secure technical wins across cyber, analytics, and enterprise search use cases.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as Solutions Architect or technical presales in enterprise software or federal high-tech space.
  • Experience in federal mission areas and security/compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Mission Strategist: Lead technical advisory for Federal Civilian accounts from discovery to technical win.
  • Architect Value-Driven Solutions: Understand agency modernization mandates and articulate ROI of modernization.
  • Build Executive & Technical Trust: Develop relationships with program managers, CIOs, CISOs, CTOs.
  • Drive Demonstrations & POCs: Deliver tailored demos and architectural prototypes for use cases.

The Opportunity

Are you ready to apply your technical expertise to high-impact public sector missions?

As a Federal Civilian Solutions Architect (SA) at the company, you will serve as the primary technical strategist and trusted advisor to Federal Civilian agencies, system integrators, and channel partners. You will map complex agency mission requirements—ranging from cyber defense and infrastructure monitoring to enterprise search and analytics—directly to the the company Stack.

In this role, you will lead technical engagements across the sales lifecycle, advocate for agency needs within the company product teams, and serve as a technical thought leader in the local D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) federal ecosystem.

We’re looking for architects and engineers with experience in influencing technical product, design and architecture decisions on technical merit, but also on value to the mission. Design experience with AI systems, foundation models, and closed LLM are highly desirable especially when using data systems to provide secure enterprise context. Our solutions for Cyber security SIEM and XDR are highly relevant to mission objectives today that align to Federal cyber strategies, such as M2614 and Zero Trust. Experts in these topics should have the ability to thrive in this role and lead our customer engagements.

Location:** Washington, D.C. / Baltimore, MD / Tysons Corner, VA Metropolitan Area *(Hybrid – periodic in-office collaboration at the the company office in Reston/Tysons, VA required)*

Travel: Up to 30% within the Federal Civilian territory, with occasional national/international events.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as Mission Strategist: Act as the lead technical advisor for your assigned Federal Civilian accounts, working alongside Account Executives to drive territory strategy from initial discovery to the technical win.
  • Architect Value-Driven Solutions: Develop a deep understanding of agency modernization mandates, IT goals, and operational pain points, articulating how the company delivers immediate mission value and cost optimization. Demonstrating knowledge, expertise and critical thinking to apply the company and integrate it with the overall enterprise data landscape.
  • Build Executive & Technical Trust: Cultivate lasting relationships across all levels of customer leadership, from program managers and enterprise architects to Agency CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs.
  • Drive Demonstrations & Proofs of Concept (POCs): Deliver compelling technical demonstrations, tailored POCs, and custom architectural prototypes to validate the company’s capabilities across search, observability, and security use cases.
  • Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration: Work closely with Federal System Integrators (FSIs), VARs, and strategic partners on joint account plans, RFIs/RFPs, and program captures.
  • Voice of the Federal Customer: Advocate for federal-specific requirements—such as compliance standards, air-gapped environment needs, and security controls—directly to the company product management and engineering.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the company at regional public sector events, federal user groups, and tech summits across the DMV area.
What You Bring
  • Location & Presence: Based in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, or Tysons Corner / Northern VA area, with the ability to work in a hybrid capacity and collaborate in-person at the the company Virginia office.
  • Presales Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Technical Presales Consultant in the enterprise software or federal high-tech space.
  • Federal Domain Knowledge: Familiarity or direct experience supporting federal mission areas, with demonstrated experience in:
    • Healthcare & HHS
    • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) & Regulatory Oversight
    • Federal Data & Analytics Initiatives
    • Financial Systems & Federal Reserve
    • International Affairs, State Department, and Civilian NGOs
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success leading technical evaluations and analysis of alternatives (AOA), overcoming technical objections, and articulating the ROI of platform modernization and software re-architecture.
  • Technical & Strategic Influence: Proven ability to influence technical decision-makers and inspire confidence in both small technical teams and large executive audiences.
  • Continuous Curiosity: A passion for self-driven learning, keeping pace with emerging open-source technologies, cloud-native architecture, and AI/ML trends. Experience in Machine Learning (supervised and unsupervised), data resilience and failover architectures, systems designs are a plus.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE). &
