Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a Senior Architect/Engineer to support modernization efforts for the Department of Veterans Affairs, delivering cloud-based SaaS/PaaS solutions and low-code/no-code platforms. You will lead design across multiple platforms and mentor delivery teams in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and a strong DevOps background, with eligibility to obtain VA Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience with modern software development and DevOps tools including GitHub.
Chief Architect or Senior Engineer on a production system in a cloud service provider environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain VA Public Trust background.

Responsibilities

Lead technical design for modular, reusable platform-agnostic solutions across DTC PaaS/SaaS platforms (Salesforce/MuleSoft, Power Platform/Dynamics, Pega, Box, Appian).
Translate prioritized agile requirements into technical designs, estimates, and definitions of done with scrum teams and VA product owners.
Ensure solutions pass architecture, security, and release management gates; contribute to platform standards.
Build and maintain cloud DevOps pipelines in GitHub; apply AI-assisted code generation, automated testing, and code quality analysis with human oversight.
Lead remediation plans for non-conformance and prepare modules for sustainment.
Build in 508, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and ATO requirements from design onward.
