JourneyTeam is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Solution Architect to join our Modern Work & Security (MWS) practice. This is a leadership position where you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through complex technical landscapes with confidence and clarity. You’ll lead solution design, mentor team members, and drive strategic initiatives that align with our values and deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft 365 solutions including Identity & Access Management, Security & Compliance, Exchange Online, and Intune.
Serve as a technical lead on Modern Work & Security projects, providing strategic guidance and hands‑on expertise.
Conduct security assessments and implement Zero Trust Architecture methodologies.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior consultants.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend best practices.
Partner with Project Managers to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
Manage tasks and backlogs across multiple engagements.
Stay current on Microsoft trends and industry best practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of Microsoft 365 administration experience.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Identity & Access Management, Defender, Purview, Exchange Online, and Active Directory.
Proficient in PowerShell (Entra, Microsoft Graph, Exchange Online, Security & Compliance modules).
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members.
Analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and business analysis skills.
Microsoft 365 Fundamentals & Administrator Expert Cert, preferred.
Information Protection & Compliance Administrator Associate Cert, preferred.
Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200), preferred.

Location

While remote work is available, preference will be given to candidates based in Utah who can regularly commute to our Draper office. We believe in the power of in‑person collaboration—especially when it comes to supporting new hire success and building strong team connections.

Compensation

Base salary range of $120,000 – $150,000, + performance‑based bonus program. Eligibility and payout are tied to individual contributions, team performance, and company success.

This is the established pay range for the Senior Solution Architect role on the Modern Work & Security practice at JourneyTeam. Actual compensation is dependent on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. In general, new employees can expect to start at the lower end of the range (with opportunity to grow and expand within the organization).
