Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data, analytics, and AI products.
• Define architectural blueprints for enterprise data platforms focusing on Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Design scalable data architectures and data products integrating clinical, spend, and operational data.
• Establish patterns for scalability, performance, security, and governance.
• Evaluate technologies, run proofs of concept, and recommend solutions.
• Design AI/ML and Generative AI architectures including RAG, embeddings, agents, and LLM orchestration.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, and business clients to translate requirements into production solutions.
• Guide teams in applying architectural standards and reusable components.
• Develop architecture diagrams, reference architectures, and documentation.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote consistent architecture practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex, cross-domain data, analytics, and AI products.
• Define technical strategies and architectural blueprints for enterprise data and analytics platforms, with an emphasis on Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Design scalable data architectures, pipelines, semantic layers, domain models, and data products that integrate clinical, spend, operational, and other enterprise data.
• Establish architectural patterns and standards for scalability, performance, reliability, security, governance, data quality, observability, and business continuity.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors, lead proofs of concept, and recommend solutions that support business priorities and long-term technology goals.
• Design architectures for AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, agents, and large language model orchestration.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, platform, and business clients to translate requirements into production-ready solutions and influence technology roadmaps and investment decisions.
• Guide engineering teams in adopting architectural standards, frameworks, tools, and reusable solutions while balancing delivery needs with long-term sustainability.
• Develop architecture diagrams, reference architectures, and technical documentation that clearly communicate designs, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to technical and executive audiences.
• Mentor engineering teams and advocate for consistent architecture practices across products and the enterprise.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.
