Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Solar Pile Installation Superintendent to lead field operations on nationwide projects, driving pile installation safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while developing Foremen and field crews.

You will coordinate production plans, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and schedules, traveling 100% to active project sites across the United States and upholding the company’s safety, performance, and reliability expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of utility-scale solar, heavy civil or foundation construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading pile installation operations as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Extensive knowledge of pile installation, pile driving equipment, production planning, tolerances, survey coordination, and quality control.
• Experience managing hydraulic pile driving equipment, excavators, telehandlers, GPS layout systems and related gear.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations for utility-scale solar pile installation projects.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, pile driving equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production schedules.
• Supervise foremen, operators, crew, subcontractors to ensure safety and productivity.
• Oversee pile layout verification, pile driving, production sequencing, and quality control.
• Read and interpret drawings, layouts, geotech reports, surveys, and docs.
• Coordinate daily activities with project managers, customers, inspectors, survey crews, suppliers.
• Monitor production, manpower, equipment utilization, budgets, schedules, and project performance.
• Develop Foremen and future Superintendents through coaching and leadership.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and quality records.
