Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Senior Construction Technician to join our team in Des Plaines, IL. The role focuses on installing structural upgrades, performing home repairs, and coordinating with field teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with residential construction or solar experience
• Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs with assistance)
• Work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces (requires bending, climbing, kneeling, etc.)
• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions including heat/cold/humidity
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and walking rooftops

Responsibilities

• Install structural upgrades for accounts
• Complete home repairs (roof, stucco, drywall) and structural upgrades
• Provide project reviews and material sourcing
• Maintain high workmanship quality
• Load/unload materials and perform job-site cleanup
• Support equipment organization in warehouse when needed
• Maintain PPE and safety compliance per OSHA and company standards
• Lead field teams and troubleshoot blockers to keep pipelines on track
• Monitor sequencing and site readiness for active/upcoming jobs
