The role requires advanced degrees with extensive experience in photovoltaics, Python/Matlab programming, and collaboration with power and flight systems teams.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2+ years of related work experience, or MS with 4+ years, or BS with 9 years.
• Experience with photovoltaics.
• Broad knowledge in electrical test systems, vacuum systems, environmental testing, solar simulation, space radiation.
• Programming in Python and/or Matlab.
• Ability to collaborate with power and flight systems engineering teams for solar arrays integration.
• Ability to mentor team members and represent the solar array team externally.
• Ability to manage cost and schedule for development and flight tasks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technology development, including proposal prep, lab experiments, reporting, and publishing results.
• Infuse solar array technology into flight projects, generating requirements and design.
• Oversee testing, verification of flight hardware, and procurement management.
