Praescient Analytics is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support a U.S. Army program focused on mission-critical systems.

The role requires deep expertise in software testing methodologies, defect tracking, and quality assurance practices, with a strong emphasis on security and interoperability standards for Army/DoD environments. The ideal candidate will develop and execute test plans, participate in design reviews, and ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, while

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or related engineering disciplines.
• Experience developing and executing automated and manual test cases for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, defect tracking systems, and QA best practices.
• Experience with Army/DoD systems testing, including security and interoperability standards.
• Familiarity with Section 508 compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts to identify defects and ensure system quality.
• Test system modifications and new builds for deployment and integration into operational environments.
• Document defects with clear steps for reproduction.
• Create and maintain databases of known defects, issues, and resolutions.
• Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on requirements, performance, and feasibility.
• Test configurations of hardware, software, and networks for performance and interoperability.
• Design, plan, and manage comprehensive test programs for assigned systems and applications.
• Support system validation and verification across the full SDLC.
• Analyze, evaluate, test, review, and document testing efforts per project standards.
• Ensure applications and systems comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.
