Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a software sustainment engineer to maintain and enhance mission-critical applications. You will use Python across concurrent or multi-process systems in an Agile setting, integrate AWS services, and apply Docker-based deployments with IaC.

You will work with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, system upgrades, and advising clients on best practices to secure critical operations while delivering reliable software

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing and sustaining Python applications in an Agile environment.
• 3+ years working with real-time or event-driven architectures such as queues or distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Batch, Lambda, Step Functions).
• Experience with Docker containerization and IaC (CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Experience with scientific/geospatial Python libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, pyproj).
• Experience designing, debugging, and testing software components (unit/integration).
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD pipelines in DevSecOps.
• Ability to lead design and code reviews and collaborate cross-functionally.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
