Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz (China) Technology Co., Ltd. is seeking a senior software leader to own the software strategy and technical roadmap for the Custom Solutions organization.

The role focuses on defining architecture standards, governance, and development methodologies to deliver complex customer solutions. You will guide technical discovery, craft proposals, and lead reviews while collaborating with product, R&D, sales, customer success, and systems engineering to align solutions with roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Own the software strategy and technical roadmap for the Custom Solutions organization.
• Define software architecture standards, development methodologies, coding practices, and governance.
• Architect complex customer solutions integrating Rohde & Schwarz instruments, third-party hardware, automation frameworks, and enterprise software.
• Drive decision-making between 3rd party software vendors vs internal development.
• Drive development of reusable software frameworks, APIs, libraries, and reference architectures to reduce custom engineering effort.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, requirements analysis, and solution definition with strategic customers.
• Develop technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), software architecture documentation, and implementation plans.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project execution, including design reviews, code reviews, and technical risk mitigation.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD, version control, cybersecurity, software quality, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Sales, Customer Success, and Systems Engineering to align custom solutions with product roadmaps.
• Mentor software engineers and solution architects while fostering engineering excellence and innovation.
