Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a motivated Software Simulation Developer to join our team in Quantico, VA. The role focuses on creating simulations of weapon systems, environments, and wargaming tests using AFSIM and related tools.

You will design and sustain models in C++, C#, Python, or Java, collaborate across engineers and analysts, and help ensure interoperability with NCIP. Requires TS clearance and 5+ years of simulation or game-based development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience focused on simulation or game-based environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Experience with simulation platforms or gaming engines such as AFSIM, NGTS, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain simulation models and environments using a variety of programming languages, tools, and data sources.
• Integrate simulations into larger system architectures and supports NCIP efforts for interoperability testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and operational subject matter experts to enhance model fidelity and ensure simulation accuracy.
• Implement new features, conduct model testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platforms.
• Lead and support planning, coordination, and documentation activities for simulation projects.
