Job summary

Raytheon’s Software Product Assurance team is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer in El Segundo, CA. You will apply software security principles to embedded real-time sensor software while supporting SW Product Assurance and verification activities tied to system maturity, with a DoD Secret clearance requirement.

Responsibilities include implementing security across embedded software, coding in C/C++, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring TDMC-based verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant software experience
• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications using C and C++ on a range of computing platforms
• Ensure SW Product Assurance processes are followed across assigned programs
• Apply understanding of real-time software design and performance implications related to System Security
• Collaborate with cross-functional Engineering teams to define TDMC based execution development
• Work within a common development environment to enable program teams to leverage capabilities
• Interface with the customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity

The role focuses on applying software security principles to embedded real-time sensor software while supporting SW Product Assurance process adherence and verification activities tied to system maturity, with a DoD Secret clearance requirement.

• Location: El Segundo, CA
• Onsite: Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite

Compensation

• Salary Range: USD 95,500 - 181,700 per year
• Note: The salary range is a good faith estimate and may vary based on role, function, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills

• Work within a common development environment to enable program teams to leverage specific capabilities
• Interface with the customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity

• Knowledge of modern computer architecture and hardware technologies including ARM architecture; interface protocols (PCIe, GPIO, I2C, SATA); FPGAs; ASICs

• Experience with validation and verification of software applications
