Job summary

RTX in Marlborough, MA is seeking an onsite Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (SWQE) to support Land & Air Defense Systems. The role spans review of deliverables, policy adherence, and release packaging, with frequent collaboration across software, systems, and hardware teams.

Qualified candidates will have a STEM degree and 8+ years in quality or engineering, plus familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and security clearance processes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and eight (8) years of relevant quality or engineering experience.
• Eight years of experience in a Quality or Technical role with multiple domains.
• Experience with compliance evaluation, requirements verification, and release management is expected.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and agile software development practices.
• Knowledge of security clearance processes and policies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review software and system deliverables for compliance with contractual requirements.
• Lead or participate in peer reviews, control boards, and audits.
• Track metrics, create dashboards, and support risk assessments.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware teams across facilities.
• Support test witnessing and verification activities across sites.
