Protolabs is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our agile team in a hybrid role, onsite Tue-Thu in Maple Plain, MN. You will embedded quality into design, implement robust automated tests in C#/.NET and Python, and own the CI/CD testing strategy to deliver reliable enterprise web apps and APIs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software quality engineering, strong programming skills in C#/.NET or Python, and hands-on experience with API testing, CI/CD, and modern automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a software field.
• 5+ years in Software Testing or Software Quality Engineering.
• Proven ability to design maintainable test frameworks for web apps and APIs.
• Strong programming in C#/.NET or Python; contribute in both.
• Experience designing CI/CD test automation and reporting.

Responsabilités

• Define risk-based test strategies for features and workflows.
• Design and maintain automated tests and frameworks in C#/.NET and Python.
• Own CI/CD test-automation strategy, stages, gates, reporting and diagnostics.
• Build API, integration, system, and end-to-end coverage balancing speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve testability and shared quality ownership.
• Investigate defects and flaky tests; lead root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Mentor teammates on quality engineering practices and release risk.
• Write clean, well-documented code following standards; participate in code reviews.
