Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Program Manager to join the Compute Software platform team. You will lead software and firmware execution for datacenter servers and PCIe products, drive release plans, and collaborate with cross‑functional groups to deliver complex GPU software solutions.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of proven experience in a similar or related role.

  • Lead software and firmware execution for datacenter servers, drivers, and PCIe products; manage release schedules and status.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan and drive software/firmware objectives and gather requirements.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for multiple moving parts and parallel work streams.
  • Improve and maintain release processes and refine workflows for efficiency.
  • Partner with internal and third‑party teams across time zones to resolve issues.
  • Translate customer requirements into goals and actions and provide updates on status.

Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Program Manager to join NVIDIA’s Compute Software platform team. Our work has made a major impact in various fields and is used across leading academic institutions, start‑ups, and industry, including the world’s largest Internet companies.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with software and firmware development managers, engineers, and other logistical personnel to understand, define and implement processes to support NVIDIA GPUs HPC and AI platforms to cloud service provider customers and OEMs, including responsibilities related to general compute and firmware releases.
  • Lead software and firmware execution for Datacenter class of servers, rack solution, and PCIe products; drive release schedules and plans; provide executive status updates; schedule and lead status meetings; build and maintain release schedules and release plan of record.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to plan and drive Software/Firmware objectives for the team; collect requirements, define priorities, drive scheduling, and plan all phases of the process implementation.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for many moving parts that need to work in parallel.
  • Lead and improve existing product development and software release processes; collaborate with engineering management to refine the development workflow for maximum engineering efficiency.
  • Partner with diverse technical groups spanning all organizational levels.
  • Translate customer requirements into achievable goals and actions, and keep customers updated on issue status.
  • Partner with internal teams and third‑party teams in different time zones to help resolve customer issues.
  • Manage customer releases; drive process documentation; work with customer PMs on software issues including technical feedback from OEM/ODMs and CSPs.
  • Improve and maintain all processes related to enterprise support.
  • Understand the big picture of the complete NVIDIA software stack that runs on NVIDIA GPUs.
Qualifications
  • Solid ability to get complex datacenter products to customers.
  • Experience with datacenter servers and associated software technologies highly desired.
  • Hands‑on experience with software development and processes, specifically for system software/firmware development.
  • Strong ability to work independently and actively with minimal direction.
  • Proven experience creatively resolving technical issues and resource conflicts.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, and build consensus to make programs successful.
  • Detailed knowledge of software engineering principles.
  • Experience with industry‑standard configuration management tools.
  • Experience with productivity tools and process automation.
  • Detail‑oriented with proven ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and technical presentation skills.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent), with 12+ years of proven experience in a similar or related role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operating systems principles, Linux OS, and programming experience in modern languages.
  • Datacenter functional knowledge and experience with PCIe boards.
  • Previous experience coordinating activities between hardware, firmware, and software organizations.
  • Knowledge of GPUs and NICs.
  • Experience with Agile tools relevant to this role.
Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is \$200,000 – \$322,000 for Level5, and \$240,000 – \$379,500 for Level6. Candidates are eligible for equity and benefits.
