Job summary

Seneca in Sausalito seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive drone software across autonomy, controls, perception, onboard intelligence, and cloud infrastructure. You will report to executive leadership and partner with hardware, software, electrical, and test teams to deliver integrated, deployable systems in a fast-paced startup.

This hands-on role requires architecting core systems, recruiting and mentoring a software team, and delivering mission-critical solutions for wildfire

Qualifications

10 years of software engineering in robotics or aerospace contexts.
Experience leading software teams and managing engineers.
Strong knowledge of embedded systems and real-time software.

Responsibilities

Drive the software roadmap and technical execution across autonomy, navigation, perception, and cloud systems.
Write production-level code and build scalable infrastructure.
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-caliber software team.
Collaborate with hardware, product, and operations to design integrated systems.
Support deployment and field readiness with testing and iterations.
